Transient absorption: pump–probe kinetics

After a femtosecond pump flash, the probe sees three signatures: a positive excited-state absorption (ESA) that decays, a negative ground-state bleach (GSB) that recovers, and a rising product band. Switch probe wavelengths and hover to read the delay.
