Nobel Prize work
The 1931 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, shared with Friedrich Bergius, honored his contributions to chemical high-pressure methods. Bosch turned Haber's laboratory ammonia synthesis into an industrial process — designing reactors, catalysts and compressors operating near 200 atm — and developed the water-gas shift route supplying hydrogen to the first Haber–Bosch plant at Oppau in 1913.
